Our company
Field of activation
Our company appeared on the market in 1987 and has since been active in the field of cast aluminium products. We design and produce aluminium railing systems, as well as external gates, fences, staircases, components. Moreover, we produce aluminium products on demand, undertaking the design and the forming die production necessary.
Major Steps
We have covered quite a way. In 1987 we started with a small group of people in a leased space, and today we are happy to have at our disposal a strong, specialized group of employees in a wholly-owned space of 30.000 m2 with production facilities of 10.000m2 and a fully integrated line of production.
- Our growth has been defined and characterized by important investments and moves:
- Organising our engineering department with modern equipment.
- Installation of a state-of-the-art electrostatic coating unit.
- Installation of modern smelting furnaces.
- Innovation at the level of railing systems – the advanced Alexander and Quattro systems.
Conscious, responsible decisions, such as the discontinuation of the usage of asbestos products and the adoption of cleaner methods of energy production and waste management – long before it became a common demand and practice.
Our efforts are being recognised
All these years, our products have been chosen for a multitude of demands and applications in thousands of small or big construction works throughout Greece, while at the same time we have a notable level of activation in markets abroad and this is by no means accidental.
Our advanced technical design and our prevision for the particularities of each and every separate project are translated in action into trustworthiness, speed and fine service. We offer a wide range of propositions and solutions that cover each need in the best possible way.
More recently, we have been honored
to be chosen by important customers – such as Lamda Development for the needs of big residence complexes, as well as Meunier (a subsidiary of BNP Paribas) for housing projects in Paris.
A new chapter
Celebrating 20 years of continuous activity and being inspired by ‘altius’ – Latin for ‘higher’- we have decided to rename our company from Al Design to ALTIA, with a new logo and a new corporate identity. Our new name, expresses clearly our commitment to always try harder, offering steadily and without compromise quality, durability and high-level design.
